SISL Officials Relicensing Scholarship Fund (Est. February 2024)
The Southern Idaho Soccer League is proud to present the SISL Officials Relicensing Scholarship Fund. This Fund will be dedicated to the promotion and retention of officials through a scholarship program designed to help them referee affiliated teams in the SISL. The league will dedicate $600.00 each year that can be accessed by officials needing assistance. The funds will be distributed for referee relicensing fees on a first come, first justified request basis, as long as there are funds available. Applicants will receive a $60.00 scholarship. If requirements are met, the funds will be paid to the official at the end of the season.
To access a portion of these funds an individual has to show a financial need for relicensing in order to officiate SISL games. Each participant must write a request for the funds and supply a short explanation of why these funds are needed to help them relicense, and why they want to officiate (adult) soccer.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND:
- Have a financial need they can express.
- Use the funds only for the relicensing as an official.
- Can request Scholarship funds no more than two times;
- A minimum of 4 SISL games officiated per season are required to retain these funds.
- You must be a resident of Idaho
- Must be a citizen of the US or in the process of obtaining citizenship.
